SSL

What are SSLs?

An SSL is a digital certificate that binds the identity of a web app to a cryptographic key pair consisting of a public key and a private key. This allows a web browser to initiate an encrypted communication session which keeps your App secure when using the https:// protocol.

Adding an SSL

GitShack automatically assigns a free SSL using Let's Encrypt to your Apps and Servers. Server SSL's are automatically done without any configuration needed by you.

App SSL's are added when you assign Custom Domains to your App. In order for them to work you first need to assign your domain to the IP address of the server through your DNS Registrar.
